Pinch Me, I'm Dreaming!
Seriously, I mean it, pinch me, I’m dreaming.
WE’RE GOING TO INDIE MEGABOOTH AT PAX WEST 2019!!!
I’ve been dying to shout this from the rooftops for a hot minute now. I’m terrible at keeping secrets, so you best believe I’ve been struggling!
Check out this video here, we’re in it, we really are! We’re the second game featured in the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpWgXH9mLNk
(Read more about the event here)
What does that mean for us? Wellllll, firstly, we can put the super cool laurels all over our promotional materials. (Maybe it’s on a now deleted pic of my cat, jk jk, don’t take my privileges away!)
[Jimmy's Note: I can, and I will.]
Secondly, It means that we’ll be showcasing our first release, ‘A Sound Plan’ for everybody to see, and play, and hopefully, love.
Sometimes it feels daunting to be putting something you love out there for other people to see. Everywhere you look, it seems like there are other great creators out there, that their work deserves more attention than that thing that you made. Wheels spin, you take two steps back for every step forward, and it feels like no progress is made.
[Jimmy's Note: Don't be afraid to show the world what you make. Take feedback as attempts to make it better, to get the message out more effectively. If you feel like the things you make will make the world a better place, the world would be remiss not to see it. Also, don't compare yourself and your success to others, that's an exercise in futility.]
Will other people like your passion project as much as you do?
[Jimmy's Note: There are people out there who will take an interest in your passion project.]
Being chosen for Indie MEGABOOTH is a huge step for all of us here at Studio Kumiho. We’ve put in months of work and it was an act of love for everybody involved. It means a lot to know that maybe other people want to see that “thing we made”. We want you to love our game as much as we love it and we’re so happy to get the chance to show it to a larger audience.
Thank you all for your ongoing support! We really appreciate it!
