Updates Updates Updates!

Jackie Spencer

Oh boy, right off last week’s post, I was thinking about more games that had inspired me when I saw that E3 had come and Nintendo had announced so many excellent titles!

Can I say that I’m beyond excited for Dragon Quest XI? I’ve been a huge fan of these games since I was a wee lass playing Dragon Warrior III on my GameBoy Color! I love the feeling of an open world, numerous side quests, interesting storylines, and turn-based battling. I feel like I’m going to have to “go on vacation” when this game comes out.

[Jimmy Note: We had to share our copy of DW III, this led to many fights. Good thing it had multiple saves.]

Also, I was talking to Jimmy the other day and said something about how I didn’t think Nintendo would be following up on BOTW anytime soon. I was wrong, Jimmy was right, it’s true, you saw it here folks. I saw the trailer and it looks like the game that I didn’t know I needed. I’m hoping that we get something similar to Majora’s Mask with a unique storyline, and beautiful visuals.

I could continue to talk about E3, but what I really want to talk about are our most recent updates!

First of all, we’ve updated the map. Watching the world spring from pipe dreams to a more fully fleshed reality has been a great journey.

Our previous guesstimation

Current map, we’ve even got color!

The new map feels solid and the details are so very intricate. We’ve added some elements to add a touch of realism like trash-cans and shadows. There will also be some fun treasure boxes but I’ve been told to keep quiet about that. (Sorry Jimmy!)

[Jimmy Note: Thank you.]

Secondly, we’re starting a streaming account on Twitch! We’ll be streaming live once a week starting this Tuesday at 8pm. Tune in, first 5 participants get a free Steam code for our latest game ‘A Sound Plan’.

[Jimmy Note: This will be a great way for you to ask questions and send suggestions our way, and it’ll be a fun place to hang out! We’ll also be doing giveaways. Please consider following us.]

Windup Audio has done a tremendous job and has started playing us clips for various different levels and I gotta say, they’re toe-tapping and I can’t get them out of my head! I’m really looking forward to sharing them with you all soon!

Lastly, it wouldn’t be a true update without the pet tax. Daigo is loving life and takes his supervising role at Studio Kumiho very seriously as you can clearly see in this photo.

How can you resist this doggo?

PS: I made a cute little drawing of my kitty to test out my new watercolor brushes on my tablet.

Plotting my eventual demise

What did you think of E3? Are you digging our map updates as much as we do? We would love to hear from you!
