What's in the Cookie Tin?

Hey Crickets!

I hope your Hamilton Day went well, I know that we all had a blast! I showed everybody your awesome feedback on Irene’s work and we’re all happy that you enjoyed it so much!

Stream Highlights

Jimmy has been continuing with his Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair kick. It’s been such a fun, lighthearted adventure that we’ve had a really hard time putting it down. I know we said yesterday that we were streaming it for the last time, but honestly I think there may be one more stream tomorrow.

If you want to stop by, we’re live every 6pm PDT / 9pm EST on Tuesdays & Thursdays. We’ll be sticking to this schedule for a bit, if for no other reason than to keep count of the quarantine weeks.

Cricket News

Perhaps you’ve seen the cover image for this post. Maybe you even saw it in our last post. Well, you can sate your curiosity now because I’m talking about WHAT. IS. UP. WITH. THE. COOKIE. TIN!

Are you familiar with the cookie tin? Royal blue, or covered in festive illustrations, these tins would be ubiquitous during holiday gatherings.

If you had a crafty/resourceful family member, they’d be year round decorations, often filled with crafting supplies or various odds and ends.

When we were thinking of ways to store items in Cricket, we were kinda stuck. We needed something flashy enough to get the player’s attention, while small enough to hide in fun locations. Then we realized… COOKIE TINS! They can fit just about everywhere and hold so many things! The blue is flashy without being gauche.

In case you didn't catch it in the clip
Those cookies are perched rather precariously

To the winner goes the spoils!

Irene made the design we see here and let’s just say we love it. I can’t think of a better solution honestly! What do you think?

Daigo Update

It wouldn’t be a post without a Daigo update!

Is he not the cutest?
