Maybe it’s the fact that the days are shorter and colder, or maybe capitalistic sentimental holiday holdovers, but we’ve been pretty thoughtful this week.
The other day, Jimmy dug up this screenshot from the archives and it really showcases the changes that have happened on this amazing little adventure.
[Jimmy: This image is from roughly a year ago, different artist, one sound person, and we were half time on A Sound Plan.]
This has been a passion piece for so many in our group, and I believe that this next screenshot really highlights that.
[Jimmy: Imagine where we'll be a year from now.]
After going back and forth for a while, we’re heading in a brand new direction with Chang’e. On our Lead Artist’s advice, we’re moving from tiles to a completely unique and hand-drawn environment. All I can say about this right now is that it’s beautiful, lush, vibrant, and I’m excited to see it unfold!
Studio Kumiho wouldn’t be where we are without the dedication and hard work from everybody on our team. I remain inspired and impressed by everything that they are able to accomplish together and want to take a minute to recognize each of them.
Irene - Our very talented Lead Artist. Always surprising us with her ideas and attention to detail.
Windup Audio - Super sound team comprised of Spencer, Phil, & Eric. I still have their theme from ‘A Sound Plan’ stuck in my head.
Dean - Excellent Game Designer. If you have the chance to try his short game with the puppy, do it, you won’t be disappointed!
Daigo - Doggo in Chief, Leader Supreme. Knight of Mars, Sniffer of Butts. Without his iron fist, we’d never get any exercise, or really anything done, let’s be real.
[Jimmy: Also Valve for their help on getting us to Steam!.]
We’re also grateful for all of the support from all of you.
You have all been integral to our success. First when we were just starting out, with no evidence that we were anything but a group of passionate nobodies, and then your continued support with the release of ‘A Sound Plan’. It has been a great experience getting to show what we’ve got, and to hear back from all of you. We can’t wait to knock your socks off with our most recent work!
Thank you.
